Aroma seemed like the hops were muted. Sweet caramel backbone with very little citrus hops coming through. To me it seemed like the bottle was a little past its prime but maybe not. moejuck (1172), Ohio, USA

Light brown in color with a decent head. The palate is full for an APA. Solid malt backbone with nice hop presence. Much more flavor here than most beers in this class. dwyerpg (2553), Las Vegas, Nevada, USA

Aroma of bready malt, some light citrus, and some light pine notes. There was a flavor of light sweet malts coupled with some grapefruit and earthy hop elements. Medium body with an even flavor and has a nice bittersweet finish. Overall for an american pale this has some nice flavor and body to it. Funknmilla (603), Phoenixville, Pennsylvania, USA

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Nov 3, 2006 22oz bomber. Golden color with lasting white head. Full pine with slightly citrus hop bite to the nose. Big mouth full of hop bitterness with a bit of hop flavor. Midway some malt sweetness surfaces to march this beer down to a fairly balanced finish, well, moderately hoppy finish. DYCSoccer17 (2201), Davis, California, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Oct 26, 2006 22 ounce bomber purchased at Nugget on Covell Blvd in Davis, CA. Light, toasted, malted, grainy, cereal-like aroma with some hoppiness present. Hops are a bit spiced with some piney notes present. Decent aroma. Mildly hazy orage-tinted honey hue with a pretty frothy whitish head and ample lacing. Nice, lightly sweet, honeyish malty flavoring to start that also has some grainy and cereal notes as well. Finishes hoppy with some juicy, piney, earthy hops. Nice bitterness. A pleasant beer.
