Commercial Description:
While the style of this Strong Blonde Ale is non-specific it has an overall profile that closely resembles a Blonde Bock by having some characteristic traits of a Pre-Prohibition Pilsner and the strength of a Malt Liquor. The unique traits of this beer are the pleasingly fruity aromas of apricot and passion fruit that give way to honey flavors, a subtle hint of corn liquor, and a lightly spicy but cleansing hop finish. What is Inevitable about this ale is that the deceptively higher alcohol content (7.1% ABV) is sure to affect its imbiber. Brewed at Sudwerk for ReaperAle.

Older bottle thanks to Lt. Dan. From the description it doesn’t appear that this is an ale at all. Maybe this was a description made for the TABC and a future bid at the Texas market (anything over 5% MUST, by law, be labeled as a ale or malt liquor). Pours a hazed gold with a receding white head. Aroma of honey, apricot and bread. Quite sweet overall with maybe a touch of (lightly acidic) pineapple). Taste is lightly hoppy with apricot jam and a thin caramel malt background. Light bubbles medium mouthfeel. Not a bad beer.

Clear amber with a frothy head that sticks around. Interesting malty sweet ripe pit fruit aroma. Very smooth, rich mouthfeel. Good amber ale flavor is mildly sweet caramel and pit fruits, with a subtle floral hop taste to finish. Enjoyed this one. 3247

Bomber pours clear gold with off white head. The aroma is full with sweet malts, pale malts, floral hops and a mild pulse of spice hops. The taste begins with a spike of floral and spice hops that seem to grow in bitterness as the finish approaches. The bitterness is nearly lemon tartness-like. The malt sweetness is kind of bland and sugary. I’m not sure I’m enjoying this one too much. I think it comes across better under different circumstances. But right now, not so much.

22oz bomber. Got this from Baron’s in Del Mar, cold stored for it’s entire life. Pours a clearish straw colored yellow. Thin white head that hangs around for a while. Not a whole lot of nose on it. Just a little malt, that’s all. Tastes like a Belgian, malty sweet, grainy. Looks like straw, tastes a little like straw too. Palate is thin, ok carbonation. Coats the mouth a little bit. Drinkable, but not that great.

650 ml bottle from Bevmo. Hazy golden amber with a creamy white head. Pleasant fruit, grain, and malt aroma. This has a great taste sweet passion fruit, nectar, and honey finishing with an interestingly rough grainy finish. The alcohol is well hidden. An under-rated beer that’s actually quite good.

picked up a bomber for $1.39...frikken A. pours a deceptive light copper color. sweet malty aroma with some honey and orange (along with some other nondescript fruits???) flavor is mostly malt and caramel/honey with mango and citrus. has a nice little hop balance to keep it in check. body gets richer as it warms.

Acidic and slightly sour nose with notes of overripe apricots and alcohol. Warming and dms laden palate with some apparent oxidation. Liongering astringent finish.
