Commercial Description:
While the style of this Strong Blonde Ale is non-specific it has an overall profile that closely resembles a Blonde Bock by having some characteristic traits of a Pre-Prohibition Pilsner and the strength of a Malt Liquor. The unique traits of this beer are the pleasingly fruity aromas of apricot and passion fruit that give way to honey flavors, a subtle hint of corn liquor, and a lightly spicy but cleansing hop finish. What is Inevitable about this ale is that the deceptively higher alcohol content (7.1% ABV) is sure to affect its imbiber. Brewed at Sudwerk for ReaperAle.

Botlte shared by Blake. Clear golden-amber body, foamy white head. Plum, pear, and sweet floral elements in the aroma. Good flavor - Smooth, light caramel underbody with pepper-spicy hops, dandelion stem, and some pollen. Good mouthfeel. Long-lasting bitter, stemmy finish.

A nice and pleasant aroma of hop and light scents of grained malt. Color is a sparkling gold with an abruption of bubbles. Head is a thick pillow on top and is bone white. Flavor is a tart and sour cross between wild grass and west coast hops. Strongest American blond ale i know of.

alcoholic aroma, clear and honey yellow, white head, tastes like a phenolic blonde. Light-medium body, creamy texture, good carbonation. Overall decent beer, but not well balanced.

Light color with a big foamy head. Bold malty aroma, somewhat earthy. Sweet malt flavor with a little bite of hops. Somewhat spicy, tingling on the palate. Light and refreshing. Decent beers keep coming out from this brewery. Give it time this beer will grow.

This was good, but kind of bland. The ABV was well masked behind smooth malt and mild hop flavors. This could easily be drunk all day long.

interesting clean fresh aroma.....but too sticky on the palate......after reading the comercial description i guess that this could be compared to a high class malt liquor.....but it is definately worth a try just to do something different for a change.......but i won’t go back to it

When poured vigorously into my tulip glass this beer produces a prodigious, 4-finger thick head that is frothy, and a creamy pale tan color. The beer itself is a brilliantly clear, light copper color. The aroma is hoppy up front with herbal notes and grass leading the way. A dry, malty note of toasted grain is also found up front in the aroma. When I delve in for a deeper draught of the aroma I start to get some hard, almost harsh herbal notes that almost remind me of dandelions or perhaps even a hint of urea. Some interesting aromas that I certainly was not expecting, could even be a bit off-putting if in the right context. I have yet to decide what the context of this beer is though, so on to the taste.

The taste is malty sweet, yet has a constant hop presence trying to keep it in check. The hops are certainly herbal, and even a bit astringent, with a lingering sharp bitter note in the finish. There are definitely notes here, especially in the malt, and even in the spicy smooth part of the hop profile, that make me think of a blond bock. Malty notes of honey, lightly toasted grain, along with a sweet graininess compete with the hops in this beer. The hops definitely win out, even more so because the hops can be a bit harsh at times. A bit of hot alcohol rounds out the finish.

With all of my gripes about how harsh the hop character can be in this beer, I am actually enjoying this beer. I definitely like the malt component and there are certainly some nice parts of the hop profile. Even the harsh character is not enough for me not to enjoy this beer.

Clear golden color with a huge white head. Strange sweet perfumey and lightly grassy aroma. Flavor is lightly fruity sweet with a little grassy hop spice finishing lightly dry with a hint of orange zest. Medium bodied, smooth with moderate carbonation.
