Commercial Description:
Nearly solid black in color, this is a full-flavored complex brew of roasted barley, sugar and a hint of honey. Once poured, the smoky aroma melds nicely with the creamy head for a beer drinking experience not for the timid. Brewed at Sudwerk for ReaperAle.

Very dark blackish color, with a nice brownish head. Nice roasted nuts, bittersweet chocolate, coffee, and slight slated meats. Great smokey chocolate flavor with hints of salted meats and other roasted malts.

Big big thanks to MrBendo for sending me this Reaper. 22oz. bomber poured into my new 24oz. snifter I picked up for a mere .75 cents at Goodwill. Pretty much black with a nice brown head. Aroma is malts, chocolate, nutty. The flavor is burnt bitter malts, coffee and cocoa. Has a bitter dryish finish. Very nice stout.

Not bad. But not great either. Kind of like a paint by number stout. Roastiness? Check. Smidge of chocolate? Check. Nothing new, but if you’re new to big stouts, this should definitely encourage you to drink more. Just no "WOW!" factor for me.

Bottle from nolankowal. Pours pretty black with a lt brown head. Aroma of chocolate and roasty coffee. Awesome aroma. Really sweet and a little twang in the flavor. Pretty good but the flavor was a little bit off.

22 oz bottle via mystery swap (thanks doclock!). Pours a midnight black with a small tan head. Nose is bandaid, alcohol, plums and toffee. Taste is the same and add some soy sauce and anise. Medium body, high carbonation. Somewhat sour and soy aftertaste which sort of ruins it. Maybe a bottle going bad here.....

Bomber. Pours near black with a large, light brown head. The head diminished quite rapidly, with spare lacing. Aroma is burnt dark malts and coffee. Creamy texture, medium body, soft carbonation. A little bitter hops in there towards the finish. Flavor is moderately sweet.

Twenty-two ounce bottle. Poured a completely opaque black with a large dark tan head. I mean, I literally held it right up to a lamp and no light came through at all. It looked like the perfect beer for me. It had a semi-sweet chocolate and coffee aroma. Pretty much the same in flavor with a touch of vanilla and a slightly salty aftertaste. Very rich. It moved past the tongue and down the throat easily. It was somewhat sticky and just a little dry on the tongue. Just about a perfect beer. It was incredible.
