Commercial Description:
Nearly solid black in color, this is a full-flavored complex brew of roasted barley, sugar and a hint of honey. Once poured, the smoky aroma melds nicely with the creamy head for a beer drinking experience not for the timid. Brewed at Sudwerk for ReaperAle.

Bottle sampled with Stegosaurus. Pours dark with a brown head. Aroma of roasted barley and fruit. The flavor is roast, fruit, and moderate bitterness. Good beer.

Bomber. Nothing really special about this stout. Faint coffee chocolate, just an ok stout.

Courtesy of Pailhead. Pitch balck with beige head. Very one-dimensional. All roasted coffe through and through. As it warms very faint chocolate coming through in the aroma, other than that really nothing else detectable. Way too carbonated, almost unibroue like. Insert coffee diclaimer here.

22 oz bottle. Very dark with tan head. Aromas of dark malts and some choclate. Flavors were unsweetened coffee with burnt malts. Some hoppy finish that complemented the burnt malts nicely. Not bad

22 ounce bottle purchased at Bevmo! in Sacramento/Natomas. Lightly sweet chocolate aroma with plenty of coffee present in the nose as well. I am not sure if this is supposed to be a coffee stout or not, but it smells like mocha. Quite appealing. Opaque dark brown color with a dark tannish head that is rather large, which leaves nice lacing. Sweet, chocolate-like maltiness to start. Turns more roasted and rather rich in the middle with more dark chocolate flavors. Some coffee-bean roastiness comes through later on in the flavor and makes this a very very pleasant stout. There is a lingering malt sweetness which keeps me coming back for more. As a fan of beers/stouts on the sweeter side(Mephistophiles), I am a big big fan of this stuff!

This bottled brew from a bottle shop poured a medium sized head of fine to large sized brown colored bubbles that was long lasting and left behind a opaque no visible carbonation black colored body and a very good lacing. The mild aroma was dark malt. The mouth feel was tingly at the start and at the finish with a mildvinous dark malt bite in the finish. The flavor contained notes of malt hops mild vinous dark malt and brown malt. A decent one that I would consider buying again.
