| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Sep 20, 2006 22oz bottle. Pours black with a coffeeish lightly brown head, which I don’t see as typical for most brews with this low level of alchol. The taste is similar to a sweet lighter stout, certainly a foreign stout, stronger then a typical stout but no match for a might imperial. kramer (2465), Sunbury, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Sep 13, 2006 22 oz bottle, via dhlesq. Pours a clear dark black colored body under a generous two finger plus foamy brown head. Very good retention. Aroma is very roasty with some chocolate malt and a lactose overtone. Light chalky notes. Flavor is roasty and burnt malt dominated up front and finishes fairly sweet with light alcohol and some chalk. Mouthfeel is medium to full bodied and oily in texture with moderate, fizzy, but soft carbonation. Overall, this was enjoyable, even if it wasn’t overly stunning, it was definately solid and well made. We need more Foreign Stouts. YogiBeera (2437), Hamburg, Germany
