Thanks to Ungstrup. Dark brown/black with a tan head. The aroma is roast, chocolate, coffee. The flavor is milk chocolate and molases. Medium body, bitter end.

So, in regards to the threads surface on this site asking members to compare their top-rated brew to their most-consumed brew: this is one of those things we’d keep in the house with the bread and butter and proudly serve to friends. Out of a bomber. Beer is a nearly opqaue, very dark brown with an average-sized, light brown, frothy, mostly lasting head. The aroma is really lush and sexy, albeit simple: Matly with heavy notes of roasted grain, biscuit, coffee, milk chocolate, light note of molasses; Hoppy with a light note of herb; Yeasty with a light, savory note of bread dough; Miscellaneous light notes of vanilla/oak, green olive/brine and alcohol. The flavor is moderately sweet, lightly-to-moderately bitter, lightly acidic with a long, moderately bitter, moderately acidic, moderately sweet finish. Slight alcohol warmth and light molasses aftertaste. The body is full, the texture is velvety and the carbonation is lively. Bravo.

Pour is black with a big bubbled nicely laved brown head...smell is roasty for sure with lots of coffee and chocolate...great nose...taste is a little sweet and inactive...sweet roasted sugary cocoa and coffee flavors...nothing too major, just sweet roasty...good...

Black, brownish head, roasted nut and coffee aroma, flavor is of chocolate and coffee, thin, almost watery at times. Nice lacing though.

So tonight I received the definitive to my question about heading to the rockies. I’m there in less than 5 weeks. Adios Midwest dirt farmer, hello dirty earth people. So this bottle pours a jet vblack with a perfect brown head. Smells of coffee, chocolate, a lot like a warm toostsie roll really. Taste is muted powdered choclate, coffee, and a floral hop finish. Light caramel notes populate this. Finish ois cocoa and coffee. Not sure of the ABV, but I can’t detect any alcohol. This is a nice enjoyable stout. Nice yellow cake lingering flavor. Pours black with a moderate beige head. Aroma is toasty, dry, light diactyl. Taste is sour, roasty, light hops. Some bitterness, spiciness in the finish. Medium bodied, but for the style ok. Maybe needs to sit?

Very nice pour with a solid aroma of coffee and a light smokiness. A bit thin bodied and way to much alcohol flavor, the aftertaste felt like a just took a shot, not very well settled, might need more aging.

Solid beer. Poured a nice dark black color with light brown head. Aroma was of strong chocolage and coffee. Flavor was much the same. Mouthfeel to this was was nice and creamy. Solid beer. "
