Commercial Description:
Nearly solid black in color, this is a full-flavored complex brew of roasted barley, sugar and a hint of honey. Once poured, the smoky aroma melds nicely with the creamy head for a beer drinking experience not for the timid. Brewed at Sudwerk for ReaperAle.

22 oz. bottle. Super dark, almost oil-like substance. Wow, does this stuff ever smell good! A little bit of coffee, but mostly malt and hop smelling. This stuff tastes great. Maybe it doesn’t have the name "stone" or "alesmith" on the label, but it’s nearly as good. This is a quality stout. Very underrated.

22 oz bomber. Almost pitch back with a thin brownish head. Dominated by charred wood with molasses notes not trailing to far behind. Rounded out with hints of dark fruits and mild chocolate. Not remarkable but quite good.

Left behind by someone at my impy tasting last Jan. The cap popped off with such force that it made an indentation in my ceiling before shooting stout on my walls and doors and gushing all over my floor leaving a nice trail from my office to my bathroom sink. Anyway, enough about me. The beer poured a virtually all brown head into my tulip glass with about a half inch of pitch black beer on the bottom. At least the head went quickly. The nose is mostly chocolate coffee with a little banana. The flavor is on the thin side. Dark chocolate with some coffee notes and a hint of yeast in the finish. Something about the aftertaste also reminded me of canned peas. Wow, crazy experiance if nothing else.

Dark black color with a medium creamy brown head. Large amount of roasted malts, chocolate and coffee aromas. Some sweetness, but not too sweet. This is a nice stout.

Bottle, provided by Clark VV via trade with FlactoAlto. Good nose, Sweet. Coffee, banana, plum/raisin/date. Orangy brownish black, Nice big head that reduced to a ring. Bitter fruity flavor. Like aroma with a chocolatey addition. Medium body. Thin smooth creamy mouthfeel, bitter roasty finish. Tasty beer. I’m getting to like Green Flash...Thanks Clark

Pitch black, thin tan creamy head. Rich nose of charred mocchachino, dried dark fruit, and toast. Nice roasty quality as the base. Flavorful medley of black chocolate, mild roast coffee and cream, with a nice toasted hop finish. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, dry bittersweet finish. Very drinkable, very tasty, but seems more along the lines of a strong dry Irish stout...

Black color; creamy head. Aroma of roasted malt, cheesy. Malty, round mouthfeel, with sweet liquorice and a good amount of roasted malt. Good.

On tap. Dark brown, chewing tobacco colored pour with a thin, roasted tan head. Roasted malt aromas are sweetened by a nice bouquet of rich molasses and raisins. Pleasant, but not overly complex or thought provoking. Sweet, somewhat cloying mouthfeel, with some coffee highlights that remind me of mid-morning break at work. Final smack of nestle’s cocoa.
