Deep brown-black with a smal, dark tan head. Aroma - wow! Roast, smoke, bitter chocolate, fesh dark coffee - fantastic! Flavour is equally nice, with lots of chocolate, coffee and roasted malt, and the body is rich and creamy. Really great, and a perfect capper for another good session with the boys. 1FastSTi (2590), Glendale, Wisconsin, USA

The liquid blackness forms a cappucino colored head, quite dense, inevitably diminishing to slight cover, albeit quite slowly, with little lacing. Seemingly opaque, but eventually settles to some level of light clarity on the edges. Aroma of tootsie rolls, light watered down, creamy coffee, a hefty dose of sugary but velvety chocolate. The flavor is vanilla, intricately evolving to chocolate and light coffee, but very light on the coffee, while waxing on the chocolate fudginess. What could never quite be called silky (not enough malt and unfilteredness) but still creamy and with low carbontion, perhaps to a flaw, perhaps not. Alcohol well-masked, hop and yeast apparency plays little, if any part. Yet lighter, and, so, that much more drinkable, as an afterthought. Lou18 (1353), West Paterson, New Jersey, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Mar 5, 2006 After find a few others in Valley’s mark down rack, asked if there was anything else. They brought this out. They had a few bottles of it, but I was not sure of the freshness and quality. This was a fine stout. On the watery side, but for 7.5% this was a very easy drink. Chockate malts came out. Good brew. tupalev (2618), Waterloo, Ontario, Canada

Pitch black tar like pour, dark brown head. Decent aroma of roast and sweet chocolate. Incredibly roasty taste, burnt, coffee, lovely! Thick. Nice sweet linger. An excellent underrated stout I want more now! Great tasting guys, a perfect way to end the night. blankboy (3260), Toronto, Ontario, Canada

Pours a murky deep black with red hues and an average size light-brown head. Very nice aroma and flavour of roasted malt, chocolate, a touch of coffee, dark fruit and hops. Quite well balanced and easy to drink. Creamy mouthfeel, medium bodied. I was pretty impressed with this Stout, it’s pretty good stuff -- a great way to end another great tasting.
