Commercial Description:
Nearly solid black in color, this is a full-flavored complex brew of roasted barley, sugar and a hint of honey. Once poured, the smoky aroma melds nicely with the creamy head for a beer drinking experience not for the timid. Brewed at Sudwerk for ReaperAle.

Bottle ala DocLock. Brown somewhat foamy bubbles atop black liquid. A sweet stout aroma, with caramel, roasted malts and a hint of lactose. Fairly thin in feel, but not watery. Straight forward flavors of roasted nuts, mild coffee, pale malts and a touch of roasted malt. Dry finish with a mild burnt linger. A quaffable stout. Lacks depth for me.

Not bad. Closer to a strong ale. Very average. "complex brew" is a stretch.

Dark brown color with tan head. Vanilla Coffee Smell. Coffee taste does not have the burnt bitter of a stout. It’s masked by a vanilla sweetness. Smoky on the finish.

bomber thanks to Saarlander. black as night on the pour with a creamy tan head which fades to a thin layer of lace. aroma of roasted malt, dark chocolate with hints of coffee & vanilla. flavor is good up front with the same roasted malt, chocolate, coffee, vanilla and a hint of smoke. a solid beer but lacks depth. not quite medium bodied and the finish is slightly dry but subdued. very drinkable.

A pretty good stout. roasty chocloate and coffee flavors are present in the nose and the taste. Good mouthfeel.

not bad at all. nice roasty and chocolate flavor. like a imperial dry stout. not a great beer, but very solid. should probably be given more credit then it is.
