Bid dry hoopped (amarillo) aroma some other notes but dominated by hop. Palate is well caoted full & lightly creamy. Flavor saturated my tongue a bit. Some sweet notes lots of hop w/ a dry finish. a bit Odd but good. stubby (326), Santee, California, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Mar 12, 2006 Solid beer. I have a soft spot for good red ales. Just a slight hint of roastiness on the substantial malt body. Not too sweet and not too bitter. Well balanced ale. American through and through. Raw, wild flavors of ’c’ hops. I could drink this one all day. Fantomas23 (463), Pewaukee, Wisconsin, USA

This amber is a little sweet but that sweetness is countered fairly well by a citrus hoppiness. Oakes (8166), Kowloon, Hong Kong
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Feb 26, 2006 Bright, dark amber. Very peachy, fruity hops really liven up the toffeeish, maple syrupy aroma. Quite sweet in the body, with only a hint of flowery hop but mainly massive amounts of caramel-toffee-breadcrusty malts. These malts offer enough complexity and smoothness to make this beer both drinkable and damn solid. wnhay (722), Princeton, New Jersey, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Feb 22, 2006 Poured dark red with a short lasting tan head. Nice color. Aroma had graitfruit and citrus hops plus caramel. Taste was funky in the sample I had. Perhaps it was a bad bottle because this beer really did not do a lot for me. omhper (12299), Stockholm, Sweden
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Feb 17, 2006 Bottled. Clear copper/red, no head. Strong roasty amalt aroma. Dryish with full body and clean, rounded mouthfeel. Lightly raisiny with plenty of grapefruity hops and a strong butterness. There’s also notes of licorice, apples and alcohol - like a very hoppy calvados... A complicated beer. beanwiggin (22), California, USA

| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Feb 13, 2006 Another brew by these guy’s that hit’s the spot but with nothing exciting to mention. This is a great amber with big, bright flavors from the red spectrum. Smooth, well ballanced, and delicious. I gave my score because it’s the most flavorful amber I’ve had so far. I thoroughly enjoyed and highly recommend to the amber consumer.
