Bottled. Clear copper/red, no head. Strong roasty amalt aroma. Dryish with full body and clean, rounded mouthfeel. Lightly raisiny with plenty of grapefruity hops and a strong butterness. There’s also notes of licorice, apples and alcohol - like a very hoppy calvados... A complicated beer.

Bright, dark amber. Very peachy, fruity hops really liven up the toffeeish, maple syrupy aroma. Quite sweet in the body, with only a hint of flowery hop but mainly massive amounts of caramel-toffee-breadcrusty malts. These malts offer enough complexity and smoothness to make this beer both drinkable and damn solid.

(Bottle) Pours a deep amber body with a medium off-white head. Aroma of caramel, citrus, breadiness, and light cherry sourness. Flavor of nuts, hops, and toasted malt.

Poured a cloudy, dark amber color with a small off white head. Kinda of a skunky aroma. Light caramel. Thinner and watery body.

Bottle... Mostly clear ruby ale with lots of big, white flakes motoring about. Huge, fluffy, off-white head. Excellent retention. Piney, chocolatey nose with lesser notes of toffee and grapefruit. Balanced flavor. Chewy, caramely malt backbone balanced out by what I assume is a boatload of Pacific Northwest hops. Medium-bodied with a lightly creamy mouthfeel and lackluster carbonation (shot it’s wad in that huge head, I guess). Finishes a bit watery, then very tannic. Moderately bitter as well. The grain may have been overcrushed or oversparged. Very satisfying, but the least impressive of the Reaper Ales I’ve tasted thusfar.

Good looking pour, a deep ruby body with a sustained head of good size. The aroma contained orchard fruit, caramel, and a floral hopping that increased as it warmed. Oddly, there was a small touch of chocolate added to the flavor. It finished on a sturdy, bitter floral note that lingered for a long time.
