Color was a reddish amber with medium frothy head. Aroma was complex hops with a tone of citrus. The flavor and finish was strong as the aroma and the finish was most excellent and lingering. this was one of my favorites every burpfrank (292), carpinteria, California, USA

| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Nov 5, 2004 Thanks to SDalkoholic for this one. Pours a huge freakin’ head (read ’heed’), like the kid in "So I Married An Axe Murderer." Sweeter aftertaste than most red ales I’ve had, and that is why I rate it high. A very enjoyable drink, and a kick fanny bottle. Grab one of these if you have the chance... realale420 (399), west covina, California, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jan 22, 2007 22oz bottle poured clear red with a nice off white head. The aroma was floral hops with some really nice caramel nuttiness. Taste had a fair amount of bitterness backed by a nice malt profile and moderate alcohol. Overall a very good Red/Amber, I personally think this beer should have alot higher of an overall rating for style. GreatLibations (1454), Last Supper, Arizona, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Feb 13, 2006 Another brew by these guy’s that hit’s the spot but with nothing exciting to mention. This is a great amber with big, bright flavors from the red spectrum. Smooth, well ballanced, and delicious. I gave my score because it’s the most flavorful amber I’ve had so far. I thoroughly enjoyed and highly recommend to the amber consumer. 1FastSTi (2588), Glendale, Wisconsin, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Mar 18, 2006 Tap. The beer pours to a dark copper/zinc colored body with a thin white head. The aroma is a nice dry-hopped amarillo. The flavor is Munich malt with nice light amarillo hops. Pretty blended and hard to pick things apart. The palate is carbonated, medium-full bodied, velvety. Great. DYCSoccer17 (2201), Davis, California, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Oct 4, 2006 22 ounce bottle purchased at Bevmo! in Sacramento/Natomas. Aggressive, chewy, caramel malty, woodsy, earthy aroma present with a good deal of hoppiness as well. Hops are PNW grapefruity and pine trees. Probably Cascades, among others. So yeah, this is a hoppy red ale that is pleasant to the nose. Transparent dark amber color with a nice, medium-sized light light beige head. Fair legging and lacing. Chewy lightly sweet, mostly roasted and toasted caramel maltiness to start. Turns mild-moderately hoppy later on with some nice earthy and grapefruity bitterness. Roasty malts linger and linger late in the aftertaste. This is very good and I think it is similar, and better than 3 Floyd’s Brian Boru.
