| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Oct 12, 2007 Bomber. Clear, very dark mahogany with a huge brown head that disintegrates rockily. A few chunky floaties. Malty sweet nose, raisin and dried fig, molasses and a touch of pine. Rich flavors of cocoa, a bit of pine resin, raisin and fig. Maybe a wisp of smoke. Becomes just a bit boozy after fully warming, but it does not detract from the experience. Body is just a shade to the thin side. Malty sweetness reappears in the finish, followed by a mild alcohol tang. Nice! Lou18 (1353), West Paterson, New Jersey, USA

Taste was a bit of chocolate with some spice and a touch of alcohol and malt sweetness. Not quite sure what this is aiming to be, the beers I have had below are porters and stouts and this is not that? TaktikMTL (2786), Montréal-Nord, Quebec, Canada

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Jul 3, 2007 22 oz sampled thanks to drewbeerme. Pours dark black with a tall beige head. The aroma is nice it has an aged sense to it. Chocolate red fruit, dark fruits, and a little dough. Chocolate and roast flavors, some dark fruit, and a hint of sourness to it? Decent but nothing too exciting. drewbeerme (2306), Chicago, Illinois, USA

| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jun 3, 2007 Pours a very dark brown color with a formidable tan head. Excellent lacing that provided a nice frothy blanket to the tiny pieces of sediment that floated throughout the beer. The scent was heavy and strong alcohol with notes of malt, raisins and nuts. There was a nice balance of malt and hops to compliment the carmel and nutty assualt on the palate. This a very interesting beer....I really enjoyed this big boy.
