Commercial Description:
Don't be fooled by the label depicting a Grim Reaper Santa Claus in a sleigh pulled by skeletal reindeer - this is not a Christmas Ale. "Sleighor" is an Imperial India Pale Ale. The intense hop bitterness, flavor and aroma will dominate at first. To complement, the body has a complex blend of malt and alcohol flavors. The ABV is 9.1%, and the IBU's are pushing the mid 80s. The entire family of Cascade hops is used. Cascade, Centennial and Columbus are spread throughout the boil, and a huge sack of Amarillo for dry hopping. The hop combination gives this brew a distinct profile true to its IPA roots. The presentation is clear copper with a thick tan head, coupled with billowing citrus and floral hop aroma. "Do You Dare" to enjoy this fine ale from the Reaper? Brewed at Sudwerk for ReaperAle.

Amber color, moderate head with solid lacing and retention. Citric, grapefruit aroma, focused towards bitterness. Medium to full body, big bitterness. Not bad, I prefer different/better hop flavors though. The rest was nice though.

Pine resin nose with floral infusion. Orange to copper color, small soft head that dissipates quickly- no lace. Hop bomp, sweet malt, more hops, hop juice. Sweet hop juice- not much else. A novel hop expression- just ok.

Bomber. Pours a clear amber with one finger cream head. Nose is mild floral hops, malt and pine. Palate is Caramel malt upfront with come citrus and a bitter resin bite in the finish that lingers like the grim reaper. Medium mouth feel with nice lacing. An ok DIPA, a bit run of the mill.

650 ml bottle from Bevmo. Pours a translucent copper color with a big sudsy off white head. The aroma is moderate in strength with citrus, pine and a bit of sweet spruce. The flavor is hops forward with a fair biter bite, layered well beneath the biter hops is a bit of caramel and more pine. The mouthfeel is full and malty. The finish is medium in duration and dry. Overall: This is a good IIPA, but it seemed to me to be a just a tad one dimensional, relying on the biter hops just too much.

appears that this is being brewed again... crystal clear copper color with a thin off white head. floral hops hit the nose first... followed by citrus, light pine, brown sugar, sweet grains and some kind of fruitiness that i can’t place. surprisingly dry palate.. or not too sweet? flavors of wood, evergreen-y, tangerine pith and grainy sweetness. lightly bitter dry finish with a candy like aftertaste. medium body but it leaves a phlegmy texture in the back of my throat.

Bottle: Pours an opaque copper color with a tan head. Aroma, citrus, pine, caramel notes, some brown sugar. Flavor, caramel, a piny bitterness, big malty notes. Bottle was probably a bit past it’s prime, but still solid.

bottle from bevmo. Clear golden with a foamy white head. Citrus and mild pine aroma. Sweet slightly bitter taste. Not as good as when Green Flash brewed it.

22 oz. bottle from BevMo (Tucson) - Glad to see this beer is being brewed again. When Green Flash stopped brewing this I wasn’t sure when it would appear agian. Pours a hazy amber color with a 3/4 finger thick off white head. Very light spotty lacing. Aroma is big pine, citrus, and floral hops. Flavor is mostly hops with a touch of residual malt sweetness. Suprisingly, there is very little astringency to the aftertaste. Medium body. Alcohol isn’t overbearing. Overall, a decent 2IPA.
