omhper (10454), Stockholm, Sweden Aug 15, 2008 Draught at Ladgasthof Leicht, Kemmern. Cloudy pale orange, creamy head. Sweaty and fruity. Phenolic with concentrated chemocal banana flavour. Sweet and mushy with medium body. Un-Franconian in it’s poor execution and lack of drinkability. Maria (3975), Thisted, Denmark May 9, 2008 Bottle. Warm golden and hazy with a nice, dense head. The aroma has notes of cloves, banana and wheat. The flavour has a light sweetness, light notes of clove, banana and wheat. It’s quite well balanced. MoritzF (3865), Ruhrpott, Germany Oct 3, 2007 (bottle) Hazy, golden colour with a medium-sized foamy white head. Rather discreet aroma: slightly sweet malt aroma with light wheat-character and restrained fruity notes. Light sweet flavour, almost none acidity, light to medium bodied with a lively carbonation. Yeasty, moderately wheaty taste with light notes of banana; slightly sweet and citrus-fruity finish with delicate clovy spice. Unspectacular, run-of-the-mill Weizen. pivnizub (3811), Porúří, Germany Sep 20, 2007 Bottle: Hazy, pale golden, quickly vanishing foamy layer, faint cellary vegetables, cloves and bananas in the wheaty nose; sweetish flavour with the faintest imaginable bitterness, light to medium bodied; sweetish-fruity finish, nearly without any tartness, but with a light lemony acidity. Weak aromas, but all in all a drinkable Weizen.. sayravai (3047), Helsinki, Finland Sep 19, 2007 (Bottled) Opaque orange with a smallish, reasonably tight head. Dryish-malty aroma with some banana and lots of cloves. Neutral-malty banana flavor with some spiciness and mild acidity - even some sourness. Medium-bodied, very carbonated palate. A balanced and enjoyable weizen.
