Commercial Description:
This Anglo-American version of the popular West coast classic is a copper-colored ale brewed with all English malts. Our medium bodied ale features 3 varieties of American hops. This APA features the pungent resin flavor of the Northwest’s cascade hops and the fruity-estery overtones along the high hop bitterness flavor and hoppy aroma gives this all the rich, full body of an English Ale.

Poured a dark golden color with a small off white head. Citrus hop aroma, with a slightly bitter hoppy taste. Weak mouthfeel here.

Had this at the First Union Center before a Wings lacrosse game. Nothing special. A typical pale ale. Was a little bitter in the finish.

Beautiful copper color and modest lace that held all the way down the glass. Moderately hoppy, a refreshing alternative to some of the super-hopped American PA’s out there. An unfortunate note, however, as this beer had a ton of diacetyl off-flavor. The aroma was pure butterscotch, which was interesting at first but became bothersome. Butteriness was also apparent in the flavor, though balanced by the firm hop presence. I don’t know if it was intentional, but IMO it really detracts from the beer.
