Thin and brown. Not my favorite beer but not too bad. Malty and a little bitter.

From TBC. Pours brown with a monster, cloud like light brown head. Seems way too overcarbonated. Smells of sweet malts, maybe a touch of some roast, but not much. Had a little tartness to the smell too. The taste had that same little tartness, some nutty characters, and some toasted malts. Not a horrible brew, but nothing inspiring about it either. Finish was slightly sweet and a little sticky.

crystal clear dark amber, big frothy beige head, streaky lace, dark caramel malt aroma with a fresh bread character, rich malt flavor, nice caramel sweetness, light nutty chocolate character, touch of roasted, the sweetness with the chocolate starts to take on a nice milk chocolate quality,

chocolate is getting a lot stonger in the flavor along with the nutty character, caramel sweetness is playing a supporting role to bring out more chocolate character,

On tap at Blackwater Brews... Appears a copper toned amber with a small, off-white head that fades into a mild cap and collar. Scattered streaks of lacing are left around the glass. Smell is of brown sugar, vanilla, clean malt, mild dough, along with a dusting of cocoa, Taste is of the mentioned aromas with a mild corn husk flavor breaking through and dragging the brew down slightly. Mouthfeel is medium bodied, smooth, sugary, lightly bitter, nicely mixed and balanced.

12 Oz Bottle via footy. Aroma wafts of indistinct plain malt, just a bit woody and toasted. Pours deeply amber with a crazy rocky head of tinted foam. Flavor is dominated by too much caramel malt. It’s kind of like sucking on the grain itself. There’s mostly caramel, toffee, browned sugars and similar flavors. Then some rather estery fruit character, which I’m guessing comes from an incorrect mash temp. Extremely overcarbonated. All the flavors wash away very fast, making it hard to appreciate anything in the beer. Not nearly enough brown in this ale. Could have used more earth and nuts. Finishes without any discernible hop character. A bit of a mess.

Bottle from who else TBC. Light brown pour, huge way too overcarbonated beer probably from the same 6-pack as artusory, it took about a 1/2 hour waiting and pouring. Aroma is toffee, caramel and a sour note. Flavor has a sour twang to it with a good amount of roasted malt, nice caramel sweetness, lots of toffee and a touch of biscuit malt. Sour and roasted malt aftertaste. It taste good but not sure the sour note is suppose to be there.

Bottle from TBC. Dark amber body with a large, overcarbed beige head. Malty, sweet, caramel nose. Flavor is lightly sweet, toasted, bread, toffee and nuts. Medium body is on the thin side and a bit overcarbonated.

POurs dark amber with nice notes of roasted nuts and citrus from the hops. It has nice sweet notes of citrus fruit and roasted toffee. The finish is smooth and the palate is creamy.
