| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Apr 9, 2009 12oz bottle courtesy of a recent trade with Ding. Nice brown-red color, little head to be seen, and a good malty smell. Very tasty and slightly reminiscent of great divide hibernation. Easy to drink and better than I expected and I am not a fan of this style.

Although it contain some nice mails there is a touch of shoe polish and astringent bitterness at the end. still worth your time though. arventresca (343), Greenville, North Carolina, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Mar 7, 2009 Pours light brown with nice smooth white head. Smell of sweet malt with nice taste of subtle brown ale goodness. Not overly powerful and I am shocked to find out that it is 6.5% abv. Didn’t even hit me that hard and I had 4 of them. Not the best brown I’ve had but good nono the less. adavis234 (137), Columbia, South Carolina, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Mar 5, 2009 12 oz. Bottle. Pours a copper-red color with a thin off-white head. Sweet toasted malt aroma. Taste is surprising - a spicy beginning segues into a sweet, malty finish. This is the first beer I’ve had from this brewery and I was caught off guard by its quality.
