On Tap: Lightly bready and toast aroma, some grassy hoppiness; decent body and slightly floral; simple, light carmel maltiness; OK.

Sampled at the Music City Brewers Festival. Sorry to go against the grain, but the beer they served me was the best Pale Ale that I had at the Festival. Maybe tap is better than Bottle? New brewer? Pours amber with a white head. Aroma of caramel and fruity hops. Flavor of pale malts, toffee, caramel, balanced by some herbal hop bitterness. Some english characteristics. A solid pale IMO. At least the one I had.

Bottle. Pours orange-amber, a bit cloudy, with a medium white head. Aroma is a mix of a caramel malt backbone, fairly strong grapefruit hops, and a bit of a piney undertone. Flavor is strongly of grapefruit hops, rather bitter and almost sour, with a little metallic hop taste as well, and a bit of a caramel malt backbone. Finishes dry and astringent. A bit of smokiness in there somewhere. Better aroma than flavor, but it’s middle-of-the-road for a grapefruit-tastin’ APA.

Bottle. Sour milk malt aroma - a slight wiff of wood smoke. Cloudy orange amber color with large lasting head. Slight sour milk taste up front followed by a light caramel and strong metallic hops flavor. Probably have to try again - this tastes infected.

On tap at Summit’s in Cumming, GA. This was medium orange with a foamy white head. The aroma was grapefruit with caramel and some dry woody character. The taste was smoky grapefruit with some toffee in the finish. Sweet. A well made APA.

On draft while stuck at Hartsfield. Not bad, nothing remarkable, just a good microbrew. Nice color, decent lace, good hops.

Really disappointed in this local brew. First, a gentle pour led to an entire glass of foam......it just exploded. Once it settled, it had a nice, hazy, golden orange appearance with a thick off-white head and good lacing. Ok, now we’re getting somewhere. WRONG. Aroma was that of mildewed dishrag, and the taste wasn’t much better. Sour, metallic, dry finish. I bought a single bottle, and it may have just been bad. If I run into this again, or on tap, I’ll try again, for the sake of the local boys. But this one blew goats.

Not a bad pale ale. Nice floral aroma. Decent malt backbone. Well decent hop back end. A good staple beer.
