5-14-08 bottle shared with lb4lb thanks to robbmotiwalla!
Clear light orange amber in color with a thin bubbly white head. Smell is doughy and sweet with a hint of hops in there. Flavor is sweet and has a tiny hop bite to it too. A hint metallic overall. No big citris, but perhaps some cantaloupe, as lb4lb suggested. Overall, drinkable but a hint too metallic.

Bottle courtesy of robbmotiwalla in trade. Thanks!
Pours a light orange, transluscent color with a short lived light beige head. Smell is huge on cantaloupe and a bit of a metallic smell. Taste is moderately hoppy and bittered with big juicy ripe melon flavors and a crisp, sharp bite to it. Moderate to high carbonation on an average body. Really has a hoppy melon flavor to it. Decent pale ale.

I thought that this beer was better than the red brick ale i had earlier. The pale ale was rather sweet, basic and sessionable.

I like this one, the hops are the star of this beer with vine, pine, grass and earth like flavors. malts take a back seat but the rest is quite drinkable.

The aroma is hoppy, papery, peppery, and malty. The appearance is amber with a huge head. The flavor is like the aroma. The palate is thin. Overall this is not that good.

Pours from 12 oz botle light coppery, forming huge foamy head. Aroma of hops, malts and a bit of citrus. Flavour was of the usual, hop and malty character that is characteristic of AMerican pale ales. Pretty good beer, not a knock out, but very sessionable and enjoyable.

12 oz. bottle on 4/24/2008. Clear deep gold pour with a white head that proves quite durable, and leaves a good lace. Aroma has some grain, citrus, and floral honey. Medium body and carbonation, mildly resinous. Bitterness starts quickly, over a light malty base, progressing into a distinct and lengthy grapefruity finish. A little unbalanced, and overly hoppy for an APA. If the ABV was a little higher, it would certainly be an IPA.

The beer that wishes it was Sweetwater 420. From the packaging to the aroma to the finish, this pale ale tastes like soap and looks like ... ok, it looks like beer. I’m leaving Atlanta in a month, and I’ve enjoyed my beer odyssey since 2005!
