Aroma of citrus, sharp resin, and faint caramel/dough. Decent texture with a fairly strong bitter finish for a pale ale. Bitterness lingers a bit too long though. Good, interesting pale ale. Medium bittersweet flavor with a medium bittersweet finish of moderate duration. Medium body with a slick texture and soft carbonation. My expectations where met.

| 1.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 1/5 | 7/20 | Aug 14, 2009 Bottle. Pours a very lightly hazy orange-amber hue. A massive head froths up way too quick, indicating probably infection. Sticky, cloud-like patches of lacing coat the glass. The aroma confirms my suspicions....this one is funked. Peppery, dirty smelling yeast dominates any underlying malt, while bitter orange peel keeps things sharp. The flavor is biting and bitter, citrusy and grassy, with very little toasted toffee sweetness and a minerally, earthy finish. Overly active and bone dry, the palate is all off. Get your sanitation in order, folks. arventresca (341), Greenville, North Carolina, USA

Taste clean and refreshing. Better than average I’d say. Great, no probably not. lithy (1725), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA
