Commercial Description:
Red Brick Red Bock is a local interpretation of traditional Bavarian Spring brews such as the Märzen or Maibock. Made with Annandale Springs water from the north Georgia mountains and both domestic and imported ingredients, Red Bock will show the balance and subtle complexity associated with Atlanta Brewing's other offerings such as Red Brick Ale and Peachtree Pale Ale. Long-time head brewer Dave McClure's interpretation of the style is a rich red brew with strong maltiness accented by subtle hints of caramel and spiced nicely with European hops; the perfect warm-up for the last cold days of the season. No more than 100 barrels of this brew will be produced, and it will only be available in Georgia on draft. Fear not, however, as it will be available at the airport for those just passing through our fair state.

Dark amber body. The aroma of toasted caramel and roasted nuts. The taste was very sweet. There was toasted caramel and funky metal. Finishes with some bubblegum.

Pours a dark amber, small white head, lots of lacing. Musty aroma, funkyness to it. Flavor is bittersweet chocolate, cherries, and a little wood twang to it. Thanks to whoever brought this to the noooga!

From a growler @ Noogfest 05. Brownish red copper, minimal head. Caramel & toast aroma, with a hint of cinnamon. Cola-ish carbonation. Nicely sweet throughout, with notes of bubblegum, toffee and chocolate.

This one was a reddish brown color. The aroma was very fruity with a strong cherry presence. The flavor had a maple syrup presence with some nuts and cherries. A slightly oaky finish. Pretty good stuff.

Sampled at the 6/2005 ‘Nooga gathering. Poured from a large and oh so fancy growler. Deep red-brown with minimal head. Woody aroma, also some semi-sweetness and yeast (?). The flavor was very nice with maple syrup sweetness, dark fruit, pine hops. Finishes dry and slightly bitter. Body is easy and medium. Very enjoyable.

Draft from the brewery. ABC originally called this a maibock, but it seems a bit dark for one. I now see it listed here and on beer menus as just a bock. Go figure. Pours a ruddy brown color, fairly dark but clear, with a decent head. Very malty aroma and flavor, and almost grainy in texture to me. Pretty thick as far as bocks go, and way thick for a maibock. Decent enough beer tho. And like others have said before, kudos to Atlanta Brewing for taking the step of producing a new seasonal craft beer.
