Commercial Description:
Red Brick Summer Brew is a traditional Hefeweizen style beer. We use traditional Hefeweisen yeast that imparts the beautiful flava and aroma, reminiscent of summer itself. Unfiltered to keep the unique character of the yeast intact. Golden and nearly opaque, this classic summer beer is beautiful in a tall slender glass. Garnish with a slice of lemon or orange on the rim of your glass.

Hazy yellow/orange pour with a pretty big fluffy white head. Lots of sediment in this unfiltered beer. Aroma is heavy on banana and coriander. Yeast does come out pretty strong as you drink it. Nice light spice and carbonated middle then a dry, bubblegum finish. At this price point... pretty respectable.

12oz bottle acquired in trade with goldtwins (thanks!). This one initially poured all head (white). Foam continued to creep out of the bottle. Settled into a lighter and cloudy yellow color. Lots of little floaters. Aromas of citrus, bananas, and light spices. Tastes of bananas, citrus, light spices and light wheat. On the slightly sweeter side. Thinner body.

bottle thanks to goldtwins. Decent aroma. Great look. Cloudy at the top with great head, pale on the bottom with alot of activity. Flavor is decent. Well balanced with slight fruit notes of citrus and corriander. Good spices. Thanks Larry.

(Bottle via trade with goldtwins, thanks Larry!) Pours somewhat cloudy pale grayish yellow with about 1 1/2" of meringue-like white head. Aroma of wheat malt and sourish citrus. Mouthfeel light, pleasant, a little fizzy. Flavor of wheat malt with a bit of a citrusy zing. Decent and drinkable.

Thanks to GoldTwins. Cloudy straw with a small white head. The aroma is typical of the style, esthery banana sweetness, light wheat nuttiness. The flavor is a bit mroe acidic than I expected, the banana yeast character is stronger in the aroma then in the flavor. Crisp and refreshing on a hot summer day but not much else.

Sampled at the Music City Brewers Festival, draft. Here is yet another from the festival with low ratings that I found to be solid. WTF? Pours hazy golden with a white head. Nice bananna clove esters and sweetness in the aroma. Light bodied. Flavor of wheat malt, lemons, bubblegum, clove. Nice clean finish. A very drinkable hefeweizen, at least the one I had. I am a little baffled by the low ratings.

Pours a very pale, lightly hazy gold. Half inch dense snow white head. Some light lacing. Smells lemony and spicy. Some very faint banana and bubblegum aromas. Taste is lemony with some crisp bitter wheat malt. Light bodied. Head is creamy but finishes crisp. The taste is a letdown after the smell. Thought this one may have had a distince banana flavor but nary a hint. OK drinker, better than your average American wheat but just barely.
