Commercial Description:
Red Brick Summer Brew is a traditional Hefeweizen style beer. We use traditional Hefeweisen yeast that imparts the beautiful flava and aroma, reminiscent of summer itself. Unfiltered to keep the unique character of the yeast intact. Golden and nearly opaque, this classic summer beer is beautiful in a tall slender glass. Garnish with a slice of lemon or orange on the rim of your glass.

12oz bottle acquired in trade with goldtwins (thanks!). This one initially poured all head (white). Foam continued to creep out of the bottle. Settled into a lighter and cloudy yellow color. Lots of little floaters. Aromas of citrus, bananas, and light spices. Tastes of bananas, citrus, light spices and light wheat. On the slightly sweeter side. Thinner body.

Pours a hazy pale golden with a thin-lacing white head. Nice, lightly sweet, bready, yeasty aroma has a healthy dose of peppery clove and some light citrus. Starts with a pleasant malted wheaty sweetness and bready yeastiness, thinning some toward a slightly citric, crisp, banana clove finish. Could use a little more malt for body, but is very authentic and nice.

Bottle... Hazy, straw-colored ale with a mid-sized, frothy, white head. Spicy, citrusy aroma with notes of clove, lemon and bread dough. Perfeclty-balanced flavor... breadsy and lemony with a whisper of banana. Tangy. Light-bodied with a creamy mouthfeel and very soft carbonation. Finishes citrusy, then dry. Too thin for me. Thanks go out to CaptainCougar for sending the bottle!

Bottle: A moderate layer of yeast on the bottom. Pours clear until that layer and then it becomes cloudy. A fairly retentive head with light white lacing. The nose is a bit spicy with some yeast and moderate sulpher notes. Some good clean esters along with a bit of funky wheat malt. The kind that you usually find in an American Wheat beer. The flavor is a bit more sweet/tart with a thin dry finish. Needs something, not sure what, maybe a bit more esters or sweetness. Light hoppy tail. Starcy. Eh.

Bottle from Kingdom Liquors. Poured a hazy amber color with a minimal frothy white head that mostly diminished with fair lacing. Moderate tart citrus, banana, clove and apple cider aroma. Medium sweet flavor with a medium sweet finish of moderate duration. Medium body with a smooth texture and flat carbonation. My expectations where not met.
