| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Apr 21, 2006 Updated: Jul 11, 2006New for summer 2006, the Hefeweizen came in a 12 oz. brown bottle, from which it was poured in a Weizen glass. To my eye, it looked a tad too pale and not cloudy enough. The head was pretty good to begin with, but didn’t last as well as I was anticipating. The smell was a little off for the style, with mostly a floral and hay like phenolic effect, rather than the more classic banana and clove. Taste was sweet and light, but had little too much citrus and not enough spice. There was also an odd metallic bitterness in the aftertaste. I think a little more tweaking of the formula is needed to get this beer on the right track. It is a very pleasant beer, and will do nicely in a pinch on a hot summer day, but I don’t think this is exactly what the brewers intended. SSSteve (2087), Atlanta, Georgia, USA

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Aug 27, 2008 This hefe pours a cloudy canary yellow and has a nice thick white head. Aroma is not strong but wheaty and appetizing, with just a hint of fruit. Flavor is typical of a fine hefeweizen - wheaty and malty with a fruity undertone, not complex but refreshing. Texture is crisp and smooth. TheBeerCollector (548), Woodstock, Georgia, USA

Citrusy with a full wheat background. A good summer offering from a great Atlanta brewer. illinismitty (1799), Nashville, Tennessee, USA

Here is yet another from the festival with low ratings that I found to be solid. WTF? Pours hazy golden with a white head. Nice bananna clove esters and sweetness in the aroma. Light bodied. Flavor of wheat malt, lemons, bubblegum, clove. Nice clean finish. A very drinkable hefeweizen, at least the one I had. I am a little baffled by the low ratings. kimcgolf (835), Dacula, Georgia, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Oct 15, 2006 After reading the description of this and the retired Red-Brick Hefe, I almost wonder if I had that instead, but not knowing, I’ll rate this. Had on tap at a church casino night. Poured to a hazy golden color with medium white head that lingered thru entire drink, and left okay lacing. This had an aroma of floral hops, wheat and a hint of citrus. Smelled like a mixture of a Hefe and a Pale Ale. Flavor was more of the same tasty mix of citrus and wheat, along with a traces of clove spice. All led to a nice, smooth finish. aracauna (2391), Georgia, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Apr 8, 2006 This pours a hazy yellow with a soupy head. There is a touch of banana in the aroma with a biit of citrus, but there’s plenty of clove. The flavor is much drier than expected. The light body and spicy character make it almost witbier like.
