Another growler from our good man Skyview! Dark brown color with a thin head. Strong coffee and roasted malt aroma. Lots more roasted grain in the flavor. Some smoke and chocolate. A tad thin, but very solid.

From Skyview. A black beer. Mild coffee aroma and flavor. Medium palate. WEll balanced, with the lightly roasted malt and coffee character as well as some chocolate. Smooth palate, very drinkable.

Solid brown body. Aroma of milk chocolate, faint coffee and roasted malts. Thick mouhfeel with the usual suspects. Very well done. A little smokey as well.

Attended the Grand Opening of Red Eye Brewing Company near downtown Wausau, Wisconsin. Pours an opaque, nearly black colored brew with a creamy beige head that has some excellent retention and lacing. Aroma of toasted dark malt, some black malt, coffee, some roasted nuts, dark chocolate and sweet Wisconsin whipped cream. Taste is medium to full bodied, slightly sweet, very little carbonation with flavors of toasted dark black malt, coffee, dark chocolate and some smoked oak. Finish is very smooth, creamy with a semi-sweet toasted malt with a good balance of sweet cream. One of my two favorite beers during their grand opening and I look forward to my next visit to this new brewery.
