Pretty solid for the style, certainly. Some lactic touches, sweet and creamy mouthfeel. Dry bitter coffee aftertaste which really holds the beer together and makes it better than average.

Pours a very dark black color with very little head. Aroma is heavily roasted and burnt. The taste is a little more interesting. Bitter chocolate, coffee, vanilla, almond and smoky notes are all in there. Mouthfeel is smooth. Carbonation is about average. A pretty solid offering from Red Eye.
