Pours a deep dark amber color. Aromas of roast malts, fruity notes. Flavor of chocolate, a touch of smoke, and a nice bitter hop finish.

I didn’t expect this beer to be so dark. It was dark amber almost brown with a small slightly cream colored head. It has a roasty nose to it and has an almost chocolate-like porter taste to it. You can detect an almost sweet slight aftertaste to it. I am totally impressed with this beer I can’t wait to try the brewery’s other beers.

Thanks Wulfhere! Dark amber in color, nice chocolate raspberry aroma. Nice malty flavor, subtle, bitter hop finish....not bad....no real complaints here.

Bottle. I find this beer a bit underrated. It ain't overly complex, and it's by no means strong. But it had a nice mix of malts and chocolate that I found appealing from start to finish. This would be a good 6-pack beer if I lived in Montana.

11/01. Tap. Dark internatinal bock-ish color, heavily carbonated, fizzy. fleeting head. Aromas are almost indiscernable and subtle notes of light bread and dried fruits. Pretty bland and not much of a finish other than tinny dryness. Uninspiring.

Bottle: Dark amber/brown with a moderate sized head of light tan. Larger bubbles than normal, head subsided quickly to nothing. Nose is mild toasted with minimal malt and hops. Roasred flavor with solid vegetal hoppiness that provides more bitterness than flavor. finished hoppy and dry.

Dark amber color, little head. Starts with light malt and continues roasty with a fruity accent. Drier finish. Hoppy and malty aftertaste.
