Bottle thanks to kyzr: Pours a transparent copper amber with a spotty-lacing off-white head. Aroma of sweet doughy caramel malts and a touch of noble hops and graininess. Body starts lightly sweet and mild with some earthy bittering hops and a drier, thinner effervescent finish. A pretty average Altbier.

Dark brown color, nice off-white head and great lacing. Nose of rye and caramel, light rosemary and more caramel. The flavor is a bit dry but full of nutty malt and caramel. Light melanoidins. Clean light hops in the tail. Balanced, nice brown ale.

Sampled on draught and in bottles at Sam’s Tap Room, next to the brewpub in Red Lodge, Montana. Pours a cola caramel color brew with a creamy off-white head. Aroma of nutty brown malt, some apple and a touch of flowery hops. Taste is smooth and creamy, medium bodied with a smoked bready malt character. Palate has a slight dry flowery hop aftertaste that turns into a dry finish. Seems the on draught version has a little more flavor than the bottled version.

From the bottle pours dark mahogany with a small off-white head. Very earthy nutty flavor, light hops towards the finish. I was going to say, this is more alt then amber, but now I see others it is listed as an alt here.

Amber-red-brown hue. Cereal-like nose. Very toasty malts, with sweet molasses and brown sugar notes. Grassy, earthy bitterness. OK beer.
