Commercial Description:
Red Oak is a Munich Urtyp (old style) lager. We begin the brewing process with custom kilned imported Munich malt. Red Oak is then is the hopped with Spalt Noble hops imported from Bavaria, the oldest hop growing region in the world. Before fermentation we add a yeast strain from Weihenstehpen, the oldest brewery in the world, founded before 1040 AD. Weeks of aging gives Red Oak the smooth taste its known for.

Tap: Cloudy, dark gold with a skunky rotten grain aroma. The flavor is white grapey & sweet grains. Basically, puke me out.

Draught at Charlotte International Airport. Pours sparkling amber with an average, frothy, off-white head, diminishing with good lacing. Aroma is heavy malt (bread, grain, meal), average hops (herbs, grass), average yeast (dough, sweat) with notes of pear. Medium bodied, mineral texture, average carbonation, and a bitter finish. Average duration, light sweetness, acidity, and bitterness.

The reviewers who gave it a bad rap must have gotten a hold of a bad keg. Such a thing exhists I ve experienced it myself. Nice orange/red color. somewhat light in body for a marzen. easy to drink and very palateable MUCH BETTER than a killians!! WTF?

Let’s not have open fermenters in a smoky bar. If I didn’t love supporting my town’s efforts I wouldn’t touch this stuff.

Just OK. I didn’t realize this was supposed to be a Marzen either. Drinkable, but indistinct.

A good cross over beer for those who love their Nascar beers... This beer is drinkable, but nothing special. Thin, low on flavor. No better or worse than a bottle of Killians
