Not particularly memorable, small head, very little lacing. It was on tap at the Outback Steakhosue in Durham. This beer went well with my shrimp and chips. freekyp (901), Thomasville, North Carolina, USA

Sickly sweet maltiness tastes more like beery syrup than beer. On the good side, it looks good, with a deep brown color and decent off-white head. A slightly grainy mouthfeel in the finish ends things up. grat (433), ST. Louis, Missouri, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Sep 11, 2004 Ehhh...certainly not your average bottled Vienna like Dos Equis amber or something like this. The malt profile this brewery always attains is much too complex for that. Just not a whole lot going on. Slightly toasted tasting but this dies out into a subtle dryness that goes nowhere and leaves you wanting more of the cracked rye character all of their beers have. Just mediocre.

| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 2/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | May 26, 2004 Reddish colored lager with a nutty aroma. Taste was not the greatest and the after taste reminded me of soured milk. BennyTicklez (621), USA

| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Apr 13, 2004 Draught. Body is dark yellow. Aroma is lightly malty (cookie), lightly hoppy (grapefruit, resin), lightly yeasty (dough). Flavor is moderately sweet, moderately acidic. Finish is lightly sweet, moderately acidic, lightly bitter. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. Sour viennas aren't my bag. Bassy15 (60), Cullowhee, North Carolina, USA

Nice taste lite nut, woody and smooth, not too heavy, good taste on its own as well. I personally enjoy it, but it is my local beer.
Don't buy it anywhere else then the corner of Guilford college and friendly. Try the Drunk'n Chicken with the beer. BBB63 (4238), La Porte, Indiana, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Mar 4, 2004 On tap at the RDU airport: Copper hued with a small fizzy head and good lace. The aroma hints of nuts, roasted malts, buttery biscuit, vegetables, minerals, and zesty yeast esters. The taste starts twangy and citric with grassy and grainy tones. A butterscotch like finish and a touch of DMS. Blah, very ordinary beer at best, but hey, for Airport offerings, you could do worse.
