Commercial Description:
Hummingbird is a light lager or Hell (Helles) similar to those found throughout Bavaria. We use carefully selected Pilsner malt... then it is delicately hopped with imported Tettnang noble hops. Then we add a proprietary lager yeast strain which is not filtered out. Hummin’ Bird is slow cold aged for over one month resulting in a lush mouth feel.

Draft at Mcgregors. Hazy gold pour with some hopcit aroma. Slight fruity taste, with finishing hopcit. Not bad, but below average on my rating scale.

On draught at the brewpub. This is your typical light brewpub offering. Pale gold and effervescent with a thin white head. No lacing. Aroma of light hops. Light and crisp with a faint hops flavor kind of washed away by the bubbles. Crisp finish. Not a lot going on here.

Sampled at the brewery. Pours a hazy lemon yellow color. Large head, good head retention and lacing. Aroma of bread, grass, caramel and nuts. Taste is bitter grassy hops, bread and light citrus notes. Thin bodied and watery. Called a "helles" by the brewery.
