Hudspart (281), Hudsonville, Michigan, USA May 4, 2008 On tap at a hotel by the brewery. Not bad, but nothing to bring me back to NC for. Amber color. A little sweet. OK
Collint (279), Sylva, North Carolina, USA Jul 3, 2008 Draft at Abbey Road, Cary NC. Pours a red amber with no head at all. Aroma is sweet and nutty. The flavor is sweet acidic and a little bit tangy, but still nutty. To watered down and acidic for my palate. Oakes (6776), Miami Beach, Florida, USA Jul 1, 2008 Draught, Taste of Carolina, Charlotte Airport Slightly hazy amber colour. Thin head. Malty, caramelly nose is fairly straightforward. Lightly toasty accent to a largely caramelly palate. Clean but simple. mhelgason (400), Charlotte, North Carolina, USA Jun 7, 2008 tap. almost no head present into a semi-sparkling amber body. always have thought that this one has had a bit to much of that nuttiness aroma. decent though. radagast83 (1017), Springfield, Virginia, USA May 27, 2008 Draft. Pours a dark reddish brown color. The Aroma is a nice malt one, with notes of sweetness to it. Flavor is actually a lot more refreshing than the ratings would indicate. I’d take this over other macros any day if I was in Greensboro. gotohelunc (309), Chapel Hill, North Carolina, USA May 19, 2008 Draft. Dark red/brown, small head. Malty, grainy nose. There’s a nice malt flavor mixed with some extra sweetness...honey, caramel. A little hop bitterness tries to balance things, but it’s still pretty malt-heavy. Easy drinking, not toooo boring, but not much going on here. Better than macros for a nice change of pace at a bar.
