Collint (381), Sylva, North Carolina, USA Jul 3, 2008 Draft at Abbey Road, Cary NC. Pours a red amber with no head at all. Aroma is sweet and nutty. The flavor is sweet acidic and a little bit tangy, but still nutty. To watered down and acidic for my palate.
brewski519 (85), Morrisville, North Carolina, USA Dec 24, 2008 Only available on tap this beer pours an orangish color with a light tan head. Spells of honey and some fruit. Tastes like a macro brew lager with a slightly skunked aftertaste. CaptainChaos (13), , North Carolina, USA Sep 22, 2008 Being from the Greensboro area, I absolutely love this beer. It is a great beer to drink with a steak dinner. It has a nutty & caramel taste and looks great coming out of the tap. The only problem I have is that the Brewery doesn’t bottle it yet, so I have to go to a local bar and pay $3.00 to get it. OldGrowth (1309), the Contaiment Area, North Carolina, USA Sep 22, 2008 pint @ Harrisons. OK aroma, caramel, meaty, nutty. Tad hazed brownihsn orange. Good head that faded quickly, minor lacing. Sweet flavor, initial caramel quickly gives way to the meaty, nutty I was getting in the aroma. little grass & apricot too. Lite body, creamy mouth feel, sweet finish. Unique, I think it’s part of a signature taste I get from these guys. I had moments where I liked it, but that meaty nutty thing wasn’t doing anything for me. Kind of went with the pickle chips I had. chandler0201 (153), Durham, North Carolina, USA Aug 14, 2008 Decent nutty aroma, pours with no head and a reddish color. Kind of a tangy flavor, but decent aftertaste. Butters (733), Temporarily in Nashville, Tennessee, USA Aug 6, 2008 Pours a golden straw with good clarity and sustainable thin off-white head. Nose is sweet malt and corn. flavor of an amber, and a bit sour, malty. Good medium body with fair carbonation. Not horrible, but not great.
