Commercial Description:
This hand-crafted micro-brew is produced by the same brewery as Mexicali Beer. It is a deep coppery-red in colour and is very aromatic with intensely floral hops and a lightly sweet and malty flavour. This full-bodied ale offers a very pleasant high bitterness, with smooth sweet malt character, creamy head with good carbonation, and with an excellent bittersweet finish.

Bottle (330ml). Poured clear copper with a small, rocky, off-white head which was mostly diminishing. Aroma was of sweet malts with toffee, brown sugar, maple syrup and muscatels. Flavor was of sweet caramel malts with a light bitterness, toffee, subtle fruitiness (dates & cranberries) and a dry finish. Light bodied with lively carbonation, a dry mouthfeel and a average finish.

12oz bottle. Poured a deeper amberish-orange color with an averaged sized off white head. Aromas of caramel, some citrus, and a little biscuity. Tastes of caramel and some citrus. Also has an overall graininess to it. Body was on the thinner side as were the tastes.

Clear amber. Low caramel aroma. same one-note caramel palate. On the thin side. More like a typcal Mexican vienna style where they add a dash of caramel colour to a thin shitty pale malt foundation. Whatever.

Pours a dark red colour with a small white head. Aroma is of citrus, spice, soft fruit sweetness, malt, and a hint of cherries. Tastes of plums, caramel, spice and a medicinal finish. OK beer, not great.

Bottle at home ... from my local mexican ... copper ... sweet woody malts ... over fizzy ... biscuity malts ... light hop ... decent but uninspired.

Clear amber colour, white head. Aroma has some caramel malts. Flavour of sweet malts. Not bad.
