Commercial Description:
German style dark lager, very smooth, medium body, low hop bitterness. Eight different malts and sixty days of aging give this classic Schwarz-style beer its unusually dark color and remarkably smooth flavor. Intense flavor including bittersweet chocolate. 2007 Great American Beer Festival Silver Medal Winner!

Draught. High creamy off-white long lasting head. Pitch black body. Sugary coffee caramel aroma. Light bitter coffee caramel flavor. Low carbonation. Long aftertaste.

(GABF05) Clear nut brown body with beige head. Aroma is medium sweet, roast, caramel, light smoke. Taste is medim sweet, caramel, some nutty, fruity (melon, peach). Light body.
