Commercial Description:
Bottle conditioned.
The new winter brew. A cunning blend of 3 types of malt and 3 varieties of hops to give a mouth filling flavour of roasted malt balanced with a heavy hop finish.

Cask Stillage at the New Century Hall, Manchester (Upstairs Bar) 21/01/2009 Some wheat aroma. Amber coloured and a little fruity with a hint of malt in a crisp and dry grainy finish.

Cask @ National Winter Ales Festival 2009, Manchester. Pours a clear amber color with small off-white head. Has a fruity malty slightly toasted nutty aroma. Fruity malty caramel flavor with some nutty hints. Has a fruity malty caramel finish with some hoppy hints in the aftertaste.

Cask at the Manchester inter Ales Festival. Amber colour with medium white head. Something odd in the aroma I couldn’t place, chips? Batter? Something foody and fatty. Taste was pretty decent though. I liked it, my notes are rubbish.

Bottle. Brown and poured with a medium head. Quite acidic which made enjoyment quite difficult. With a bit of care on the bottling front this might have been a pleasant bitter.

Cask (gravity) @ National Winter Ales Festival 2009, Manchester, England.
Clear medium amber color with a average to large, frothy to creamy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, nutty, dusty. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average duration. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to flat. [20090123]

A Mes rate. Gravicask at National Winter Ale festival. Dark amber with a faint white head. Decent dark malt aroma but with a hint of chlorine. Thankfully there is none of it in the flavour. Lovely smoky malt with some nice sweet fruit cake. Dry fruity finish. Not bad.

Bottle conditioned, 500ml from Happy Apple, Totnes, Devon. Chestnut brown with no head, very flat. Unfortunate sour malty notes right from the off, sharp, tea like flavours with wet newspaper and fungal notes. Really a bit of a struggle to drink, quite off.
