mikey (323), farmington, Utah, USA Aug 29, 2007 Poured on tap a dark ruby red with a finger of head. The nose was full of sweet malt and smokey peat. The taste started with roasted malts, chocolate and caramel and ended with a tea like bitterness. The finish was slightly bitter. Even though it has an ABV of 4.0 this Irish ale has a nice full feel. beerguy101 (3608), Newark, California, USA Oct 12, 2002 Dark Red color. A full bodied ale. Roasted malts, chocolate and caramel. Not very hoppy. Full flavored. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.
