Commercial Description:
Brewed from a combination of 8 different malts then served on nitro, Red Rock's Oatmeal Stout is quite a hit for those looking for a medium to full bodied Ale. Our Oatmeal Stout boasts a roasted flavor with malty characteristics. With its slight chocolate, coffee characteristics and silky smooth finish, Oatmeal Stout pairs beautifully with a sweet dessert such as our delectable cheesecake!

Taster – Red Rocks Brewing Co. – Salt Lake City, UT – Nice dark malts with a good hops backing the oats make this silky smooth and the coffee flavors and aromas are wonderful. This was very well brewed with the limitations. Loved the finish and the overall flavors. I could hook this up as an IV.

On tap at red rock in SLC. Pours a dark brown with an awesome thick and creamy head. Taste is a slight roasted malt, some hops and oatmeal. A good beer.

Poured from the tap a nice opaque black with a nice thick nitro head on top. The nose was of chocolate and roasted barley notes. Chocolate tones dominate the taste, then coffee and oats. The end is yeasty and hops create a nice fruity flavor in combination with it’s small roasted character. There is a good hop bite to the finish and the feel is rather thin. This stout is not that bad but a little more malt depth could make it above average.

On draft; palate was very watery and thin. Aroma of chocolate and coffee. Flavor was heavy on the coffee; a light oatmeal sweetness. Palate was a big turnoff, but there were some decent flavor.
