Feb 6, 2008 Cask (handpump) @ The National Winter Ales Festival 2008, Manchester, UK. Clear light to medium red brown color with a small, fizzy, fair lacing, fully diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is fruity / berry, plum, light sweet licorice. Flavor is moderate to light heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium to light, texture is oily, carbonation is flat. (170108)

Jan 22, 2008 Cask at National Winter Ales Festival, Manchester 2008 Dark brown in colour with roasted malts and some coffee notes. This was a pretty decent drop, quite porter like, and quite a filling beer. The alcohol was well hidden but started to be noticeable at the end. Not bad.

Mar 14, 2006 Bottle conditioned. Dark brown and red with a cream head. Aromas are malty and earthy, quite rooty and herbal with sweet floral notes. Flavours are sweet and earthy. Liquorice and blackberry notes with mellow spices and some sourness towards the finish.
