Commercial Description:
Cask; Regular. Also avialble bottle conditioned.
Dark Mild Bronze Medal Winner SIBA North of England 2005. Very northern character, an intensely dark, traditional best mild. Sweetish and liquoricy but with more body than a standard mild. Bitterness comes through in the lasting aftertaste.

Bottle conditioned. Treacle Miners Tipple, Dark Mild on the label. Very dark with a small beige head. Aromas are light, sweet, earthy malts, chocolate and liquorice. Quite floral and herbal with aniseed. Flavours are dry, roast, earthy malts with light chocolate and metallic hops. Some berry sourness towards the finish with a dry aftertaste. Has some cardboard notes. Good aroma, average flavour.
