cask at hoopers. Pours a ruby coloured beer. Frothy disappearing head. Really good looking beer. Malty. Hops and nicely spiced. A lovely beer.

Handpulled cask at the Old Fountain, Nr Old Street, London. Dark brown/red with off-white head. Typical mild with sweet malty base and little hop balancing. Very quaffable.

Cask in the whole hog. Aroma is chocolatly malt, grassy and thin. Taste is similar, could do with more depth, but still very tasty.

Cask at the Land of Liberty, Peace & Plenty, Heronsgate. Perfectly conditioned, bright ruby red with a tan head, a pleasure to look at on a sunny afternoon sitting in the garden of this wonderful pub. Rich malt aromas; fruity and rich in the mouth, with lots of roasted malt flavour; finish is dry and nutty. An excellent mild, proof that a good beer can be brewed at 3.7%.

Cask at The Wenlock, october 07. Dark ruby/ brown color with a medium, almost yellow creamy head. Toasted malts, roasted peanuts aroma but restrained with some not nice sulphurous notes. Crystal malts flavor, mild and comforting. Light to medium palate, a little astringent finnish. Nice, drinkable mild.
