Nate (2352), Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA Jul 7, 2008 On tap at the brewery. Carbonic gaseousness, bitter grain and coffee grounds acidity. Light toasted malt and just a hint of coffee. Mild chocolate and a bit of fruity hops. Dark black clear with creamy light tan lacing head. Medium watery body with light smooth carbonation - like a nitrogenated stout. Starts with toasted and burnt malt, light lactose sweetness and a bit of bitter coffee. Odd salty-soft water taste, kind of typical for this place. Good bitter hops at finish with dry chalky bitter coffee-nutty after. Not a strong coffee flavor, but OK.
dpjuart (642), Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA Jun 28, 2008 6/12/08 - Draft sample at brewpub. Pours brown with amber hues and khaki head. Coffee and roasted malt nose. Medium brown color. A standard porter with only the slightest hints of coffee. Pretty thin in the mouth. Meh.. euserphriendly (159), Holland, Pennsylvania, USA Feb 7, 2005 Wow, now that is a coffee laced beer. I think I caught a caffeine buzz on this one as well. Make sure to try it if they have it.
