Jun 1, 2002 Sour malt smell, bit of vanilla. Dark brown/black with small head. Smooth and bit oily. Vanilla, coffee, smoky. Good stout, but could use a bit more sweetness to even out a bit of sour taste.

Dec 18, 2001 This is a surprising brew, I didn’t expect such a good stout from a new brewery. Wonderful dark, and chocolatey - worth the trip of the turnpike.
