Dogbrick (2807), Columbus, Ohio, USA Aug 24, 2006 Sample at the brewpub. Cloudy golden-yellow color with a thin white head with minimal retention. Spotty lacing. Aroma of wheat and bananas. Light-bodied with a typical Hefe flavor profile of wheat, spice and banana. The finish is sweet and wheaty with a citrusy aftertaste. Pretty straightforward. Nate (2533), Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA Aug 8, 2005 Sampled as "Stewart’s Kilt Lifter Hefeweizen". Mild wheat and banana aroma. Dry spicy clove, lemon peel. Mild hefe aroma overall. Light yellow body with mild haze and lacing white head. Light to medium watery body with medium carbonation. Has a nice hefeweizen flavor profile but weak. Mild banana and wheat, some lemony citrus and clove. Light sweetness in the start, with light bitter finish. After is a bit chalky, with notes of bubblegum. FROTHINGSLOSH (1961), GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA May 28, 2004 Updated: Aug 12, 2007Draft. Cloudy medium golden color with a medium sized white head. The aroma is light and wheaty. The flavor is strongly of wheat with just a hint of citrus. A mildly wheaty flavor lingers on the aftertaste. Drinks easily but the flavor is a bit subdued for it’s style.
