cheapdark (2011), Monacatootha, Pennsylvania, USA Aug 7, 2007 Updated: Dec 31, 2007Ubiquitous pale yellow american lager color and appearance. Has a unique slightly sour and pungent aroma. Taste is somewhat buttery and quite friendly. Cannot believe this is a light beer. Easy to like and at times may seem a bit watery on the palate. Mild carbonation and no bitterness to speak of on the finish. A very nice nice drink if this is truly a lager. Dogbrick (2816), Columbus, Ohio, USA Aug 23, 2006 Sample at the brewpub. Pours a clear pale golden color with a thin ivory head with pretty good retention. Minimal lacing. Aroma of grassy hops. Light-bodied and fizzy with mild hops and malt flavors. The finish is effervescent and mildly bitter. Typical of the "starter" Lager at many a brewpub. Nate (2533), Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA Aug 8, 2005 Mild beany aroma, grassy hops and light grain. Crisp. Pale golden body with mild haze and white foamy head. Light body with medium-high carbonation. Start with good malt taste and crisp hops. Nice light carbonic acidity and bitterness, reminding me of a macro pale lager but of higher quality. Finish is clean and bitter with mild bitter after. A decent light lager. euserphriendly (163), Holland, Pennsylvania, USA Feb 7, 2005 The light beer choice for the microbrewery crowd who doesn’t want to really try a microbrew. A bit of a grassy taste when i had it. Better than a mass market beer any day. FROTHINGSLOSH (1961), GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA Jun 22, 2004 Updated: May 21, 2006Draft only. Pours a light golden color with a medium white head. There is a faint sour aroma. Light body. The flavor has very little by way of malt or hop presence. Slightly sour aftertaste. It is what it is, an intro beer to appeal to the mass market kind of drinker who finds himself blessed to be in a microbrewery but does not want to get too daring.
