euserphriendly (159), Holland, Pennsylvania, USA Aug 13, 2005 Sweet and creamy upfront. A bit dry and nutty on the backend. Great flavor throughout this beer. An excellent representation of the style.
Nate (2352), Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA Aug 8, 2005 Mild licorice and chocolate notes with bit of smoke. Caramel malt and toffee, Tootsie Roll. Light dry nuttiness. Dark brown clear with off-white lacing head. Medium watery body with mild carbonation, perhaps under nitro. Starts with some carbonic acidity and good sweetness to balance. Light chocolate with fruity hops throughout. Finish is dry and bitter, a roasted nuttiness. A bit watery but decent brown ale overall. FROTHINGSLOSH (1612), GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA Oct 26, 2004 Updated: Jun 4, 2006Sampled on draft at the brewery. Years ago this was a regular item on the beer list here, but now days it only makes an appearance once or twice a year. Pours a dark brown color with a small tan head. The aroma is dry malt. The flavor is malty and dry with a hint of chocolate and a roasted malt element in the finish.
