Commercial Description:
Red Stripe Light is D&G’s alternative to the original. It has a smoother taste, and besides having a lower alcohol content, it is also ’less’ of a beer as it comes in 10.5 oz. bottles.

Refreshing like water, Slightly skunky aroma and thin body. Nice to drink in a warm weather country I guess.

Just like Red Stripe, but lighter. I had both on tap at Couples Negril, Jamaica. Maybe its because I was already pretty deep in the rum, or just having a kick ass time altogether. They are both pretty good.

Bottle at Knutsford Court Hotel, Kingston, JA. Not too bad for a light Lager I didn’t think. Refreshingness is what I look for when sampling such beers in hotter climates than the UK (so most of the World then), and this was swiggable enough. Soft, slightly sweaty flavour, but passable.

Agree with other raters. Nothing there. No malt, no hops (no woman, no cry). Sorry.

Very pale yellow and lighter than most other Carribean beers. Weak flavor much like American macros, which makes this familiar and agreeable for most. Quite similar to Red Stripe except lacking fullness and body.

Well I had this down in Jamaica and there is nothing here. Just a flavored water for the most part and would take about 30 beers to get drunk off of.

There is absolutely nothing to this stuff. Watery and tasteless, very low in alcohol. I don't know who would buy this.

On tap in Jamaica. I'm glad it was free on the resort because I would not have been happy if I actually had to pay for this. Regular Red Stripe is better, but not by too much.
