Commercial Description:
Red Stripe Light is D&G’s alternative to the original. It has a smoother taste, and besides having a lower alcohol content, it is also ’less’ of a beer as it comes in 10.5 oz. bottles.

This stuff is nearly 8 dollars per 6 pack, you gotta be joking. When I drank this one word came to mind, "water". Definitely quinched my thirst, but then again, so does water. Save your money, buy something cheaper that you know you enjoy. I'm nit saying this beer is horrible or anything, I just thought for the price I was getting a bit more personality.

This beer is lighter and paler in colour than its normal counterpart, but the smell and taste were very similar. Obviously a good thing if you want a less filling, still flavourful beer. I had this on tap a couple times in Jamaica, but have not ever seen it here in America. Worth a try if you can find it...but otherwise, definately try some when you are relaxing in the sun in Jamaica!

Tasted just like regular Red Stripe to me (which is a good thing). Maybe it was because I had them both on tap, I don't know. Maybe it was just because I was in Jamaica and having a great time. Good stuff.

This is what I drank in between meals in Negril. Not so filling as regular Red Stripe, obviously. Pale color. However, not quite the same when I drank in the US upon returning.

Too light, not much head even from the tap, not much taste to it, overly carbonated

I enjoyed this beer a good deal more than regular Red Stripe on my last trip to Jam. It seems to stay cold better (Or perhaps it is because there is less of it.) Unlike the regular this tastes less sweet, and was never skunky. For unknown reasons it was usually .50 - $1.00 US more a bottle than the other stuff.
